I swear it's facebook's fault. Nobody I know reads blogs anymore. But then I realized (just now) that who cares about that? Apparently I do, but not anymore. I'm writing for myself and my family.. so here goes self! I'll update this entire post when I can.

6 Years ago tonight I was at my parents house. The home I grew up in, and I was with all of my loved ones. I was preparing to get married the next morning to my best friend in the whole world. The men went to play basketball (bachelor party) and the girls went to walmart for some last minute makeup and nail polish... yeah we were some real party animals. The funniest story is when the guys were playing basketball Jeff blocked my dad. One of our friends tells this story relentlessly. He always laughs thinking about what the heck Jeff was thinking about. He was like "dude you're marrying his daughter tomorrow, you do not block her dad's shot" The last 6 years have flown by with the exception of year #2, for obvious reasons. Even still that year helped to mold, shape and create our family. We have since had three beautiful healthy little boys. We are best friends and truely of one heart. We couldn't ask for anything more than health and friendship of both we give thanks daily. I'm so grateful for him and everything he is for our family. From here to eternity I love you Bob!

KaYZeR the WayZeR TURNED 2!

My little emotional, happy, sweet affectionate, dramatic Kayzer the Wayzer turned 2 while we were in S.C. He was loving getting sung to and people handing him presents. He is so special and brings us so much happiness. I love his dimples. I loved them the second I saw him. I love his big huge smile. He had a full rack of teeth at like 8 months! I love his chubby little bum and the way he giggles. I love his pronunciation of certain words like yes.. Yesh.. If I hand him anything at all, anything he will say Thanku mom.. He has great manners. He cries more than neccessary but he's teaching me something I need to learn, I'm just sure of it. We love you T-WAYZ

The beach is one of my most favorite places on earth. The beach house wasn't ours but we still enjoyed it for a little bit.

Swimming at Nana's is the best, and hey who cares if you don't really have a swim suit or even a swim diaper?

I've come across some fun summer ideas and I'm just going to post them. My kids are still too young for a lot of them but I'm hoping that I can recall this post later in life (hopefully next summer) and try those that I can't get to now!

Have a treasure hunt! It can be in the backyard or park, wherever. Burry fun things in general areas depending on your kids age and ability and let them run and dig it up! Some fun things to burry are a bottle of bubbles, a pack of gum, some stickers, or water guns

Just add water to traditional games like water volleyball with water balloons and a towel, or sponge tag!

Make Frozen treats!- Frozen fruit smoothies blend yogurt and milk and frozen fruit together and freeze it. They'll have fun helping and eating their creation plus it's a fun memory!

Go to a concert or play especially if it's in the evening or outdoors. Parents and kids enjoy this stuff, also any parades that are going on are always a kid favorite

Have a cupcake day! Make 2 dozen cupcakes and decorate them as crazy and fun as you can, then eat some and take the rest to a neighbor or friend!

Visit the zoo or museum and let the kids take some of the pictures!

Have a garage sale and take the money to do something fun that's been planned by the family!

Go to a local river and let your kids wade in it, let them find cool rocks or shells and then have a picnic.

Take a fun daytrip.. I found this website call tripadvisor.com/tankofgas it's somewhere you can get on a tank of gas in your local area.

Do a lemonade stand.

Make a fort in the house and then let the kids sleep in it!

Go to the pond and feed the ducks, my kids absolutely love this, and so do I.

These are a few ideas that I found, I added some of my own too. Good luck entertaining those children all summer. It's my favorite time of year and I hate to let even one day of summer go to waste!

I have to blog about this experience or else I'll forget all of the "wonderful" details. I do keep a journal but this might be a little too long to write, I'm afraid I'd get carpel tunnel before finishing.

It all Started last Tuesday, June 1st in S.C. Jeff got a phone call from the airlines asking him if he could get to the airport ASAP to catch an earlier flight. Since he was pretty much all packed (he was going back early to go to a young men's activity that he was in charge of) he figured that would be fine. We jumped in the car and off to the airport we went. I dropped him off and went home. I didn't get a phone call until about five hours later. I thought he was in Texas and calling during the layover. Well the flight that he ran to the airport to catch was late missing the connection that the airline feared he'd miss if he stayed on his original flight. So he was stuck in Miami, even further from his destination and now away from us but no where he was supposed to be. He didn't get to the hotel until midnight. He had to be up at 4:00 a.m. to catch a 6:00 a.m. flight straight to Las Vegas. He made it safely and we thought all was well. Then the next morning I wake up and check my texts from him that stream in telling me he's sick and has been trhowin up all night!!!! Later I found out that he got to Lake Powell right before it was dark and the boat that was coming to get him broke down on the way there and had to be towed back to camp. They told Jeff just to break into their houseboat and sleep there. He had one of his young men with him.
Jeff breaks into a three story gorgeous houseboat only to later realize he broke into the wrong houseboat.... He later found the right one but only slept a few hours before getting up and running off to throw up for the next few hours.....
Meanwhile back in S.C. I'm starting to feel nauseous but trying to ignore it. We are all packed and mom is flying back with me and the boys. My youngest brother Chad was leaving for the first time and moving to Houston to do installs for a security company. So it was an emotional day to begin with. Then me, mom and the three stoogies get in the car and we're off to the airport!
I gave Cru a dramamine before we left the house thinking that it would kick in around the time we took off.. irrrnt~ wrong. He fell asleep in the car on the way to the airport and when I pulled him out of his seat I realized he had pee'd A TON. All over himself. So he was cranky and I had to get the other boys and our bags and stroller and deal with his cranky confused pee body. My fault I realize. I gave it him because he gets super duper motion sick. So once I got that situation somewhat under control we got on our flight and all was well. We landed in Dallas where we were literally booking it to get to our connection. Mom and I dragged the boys into the family bathroom and she changed Kayze's latest disaster and I was working on McCoy's.. We made it to the gate in enough time to see that our flight would be delayed for another hour or so, which we actually kind of welcomed. We got something to eat and just sort of hung out for a bit. Something started gnawing at my mom and she kept asking me if I was positive we were at the right place. I KNEW we were. She asked me our flight# and when I told her mine she pulled out her ticket and found out that she was on a different flight.. GOO. So she pulled took Kayze with her and dashed back on to the tram and across the airport to try to catch her flight. Luckily hers had been delayed as well. Then when we finally get to Las Vegas we meet up and are trying to get to the bus to take us to the car rental place. It's busy and the bus is filling up by the second. Mom jumped on with one of the boys while I was busy trying to undo my double stroller. One of the ladies working there was trying to "help" me but instead broke my stroller... no time to worry about it I just collapsed it down as best I could and jumped on the bus. It was completely full and my kids we DONE. It was 3:00 their time and they were so exhausted and confused. Cru was being such a trooper though, he was listening to me and being very patient. When we arrived at the car rental center I was the last one off the bus and I was holding Kayze, mom had McCoy and Cru took off ahead of us. I was dragging my huge stroller and my bags. We finally get in and I feel like my arm may or may not still be attached to my shoulder because of the sheer weight it's been carrying. I put my mangled stroller up against the wall and walk my children and bags to the seats. I plop down grateful to not be on a plane, in an airport or on a bus. Cru and Kayze caught site of the empty poker machines and were off to gamble. It being almost 1:00 a.m. at this point making it 4:00 a.m. their time I let them have at it. It was basically empty in the building and they deserved to have a little fun pushing buttons.... But to my dismay a grumpy security guard walked over and said "M'am it's federal law that children under 21 need to be at least ten feet away from the machines" I wasn't happy considering THE ONLY SEATS IN THERE WERE LESS THAN TEN FEET AWAY! So I complained a little as I ripped them from the machines. Then Kayze freaked out and started crying and wailing in the middle of the floor. By this point I really don't care but now he's found some new machines on the other side and he starts running towards them. So I send Cru over to stop him and bring him back. My mom is in line this entire time by the way so she can't help me at all. There are about 3 other families there but only I had children under 12. When Cru goes to stop Kayze they both fall to the ground at about this moment McCoy now realized that there are really fun machines to press buttons on. Kayze thinks that Cru is trying to fight him so he takes a swing at Cru who retaliates and swings back at an over tired and over emotional Kayze.
So here I am with a mess of suitcases on the floor my kids crying in the middle of the floor across the room and a squirmy irritated McCoy trying to get away from me and my stroller is against the door.... wait, where's my stroller? I could have sworn I left it right there, this place isn't busy.... I'm the ONLY person in here with kids....The security guard saw me put it there and is now seeing my fight my kids..... Oh and did I mention McCoy doesn't have any shoes on?
Finally after a half an hour my mom has the keys to our rental car. I walk over to the security guard and ask him what happened to my stroller. He replies "I sent it to the lost and found"
ME- "Hmmm, okay, well where's that?'
"Oh I sent it on a tram back to the airport, do you want the ladies name whose in charge of that?"
ME- "Why? GRRRR I'll just get it tomorrow!"
So then we walk to the parking garage and get into our car! We have no cars eats, because they were previously left at our hotel by Jeff so my kids are strapped into their Stroller seats in the car. Ghetto, I know, but whatever!
Okay, now to the hotel.... Wait what's our hotels name again? Me and mom pull out the itinerary and check to see, but it's not there, anywhere. Oh well she was pretty sure that it was on the strip and once she saw it she knew she'd recognize the name. But maybe it was on Tropicana? Oh well we'll find it. It is now about 4:30 a.m. our time and the kids are delirious and thirsty. We stopped at a gas station and got drinks. Two hookers, yes REAL HOOKERS decided to stop in at the same gas station. YIKES! Off we went south down the strip... mom kept saying the name over and over. Like it's something like de solei or soulay or something like that. We turned around and then drove north up the strip to the very busy, ver skanky, ver stop lighty part... Some nasty transvestite men with fake ta ta's were standing right next to our car at one of the red lights and they started shaking what their mama never gave them, at us. I just shook my head slowly back and forth at them. One of them said to the other..."Oh she said no, she has kids" the other one said "Doesn't she know this is Vegas?" If my mind wasn't rotten from lack of sleep and other things I would have thought of something very hurtful and clever to say, but I digress. We couldn't call anyone because of the time and we didn't have any access to an internet so we couldn't check her email. We drove for over an hour. Finally when mom started turning left on red lights and not quite stopping at stop signs I told her to just pull into the Golden Nugget. I'd stayed there once before with Barb and remembered it being pretty nice. We were in old Las Vegas anyways so why not eh? She had already paid for our other hotel ( 2 rooms ) but at this point it was either drive all the way home to st.george in our condition or get a new room. So we did the latter. We got to bed at 6 a.m. east coast time. Kayze shared a bed with mom while I had Cru and McCoy with me. Kayze must have had restless leg syndrome cause he just kept kicking the sheets up and my mom. McCoy had been slightly hysterical if I put him down considering all he'd endured that day I didn't blame him, but he fell asleep pretty quickly. When the room was quiet and I was lying there grateful to be in a bed, I thought about earlier in the day how my dad had given me a blessing and in the blessing he said... "I bless you that this day won't be eventful" Right then I burst out laughing! Mom asked why and when I told her she did the same thing!
The next morning Cru woke up and asked if we could have dinner, he thought he'd just taken a nap. We found our hotel got the car seats and headed home. The next night my dad flew in and picked up my stroller at the airport. Mom had to pick him up at the shuttle drop off... she ended up throwing up all night that night. The Hall family might be done traveling for a couple of years after that one. I left A LOT out too, but that's the gist of it. Now all I can do is laugh and whimper when I think about that crazy night.

I couldn't be more grateful to be a mother. Each of our journey's to motherhood are various and unique. Mine is special to me for some obvious reasons but every mother has her own story. I'm so thankful for my three little blessings.. It has been a very difficult couple of years, both waiting for them to come into our homes, and then even after they came, we waited for them to be legally part of the family. We love our boys so much. When driving we often look back to them and our hearts feel full. We feel so humbled to watch Cru bond with his little brothers. He's loved them since day one and has been so protective of them, unless they wreck something of his of course. I just wanted to write a quick post about how much I love my boys and being a mom!

Brotherly Love

These pictures were taken one day while I was sitting in the backyard reading a book while the boys played. I noticed that they were all three playing with random things in the backyard. We have skooters, buckets, balls, a spiderman tent and a sandbox in the back, they chose to play with a box of trash on the side of the house, rocks, the grass and sit inside of a box for fun. I love getting back to basics.

Jeff started doing this new thing with the boys in the mornings before he leaves. He puts on a Rocky song and then all the boys, and sometimes me do jumping jacks, situps and pushups. The boys absoultely love this. Even Kayze and McCoy do it. Then after they're done Jeff has them flex and grunt a lot! I love it.

The first two pictures are out of order, but when I walked outside to see my two youngest sharing a toy, I naturally got my camera out to capture this moment, when two seconds later Kayze had pushed McCoy off of the truck and was very proud of himself.

After posting this I noticed that some of these pictures did weird things and re-posted themselves and didn't post other pictures I uploaded, ah well. Enjoy!
We haven't driven up north in over six months and it was high time we did. However upon reaching the midway point at about Beaver we remembered why we hadn't. The weather was trecherous.. well maybe not trecherous but it was freezing cold and ugly sky. If I would have been told it was December I would have believed it. We arrived Friday afternoon and went to see Besty Rachel and new baby boy Bowen. He was perfect. A cute 6lbs and 9oz of heaven. Then our kids were destroying her tiny recovery room with their presence so we left and headed up to Lehi to visit a life-long friend I grew up with in S.C. I hadn't seen her in almost three years and since then we've added 5 kids. How did we do that you ask? She had triplets almost 2 years ago and as you all know I adopted two almost 2 years ago. Her house was beautiful and spacey so we survived it well. They were great hosts and we had a blast. We also discoverd another new show (which is not a good thing) Modern Family. We're late on the bandwagon. Although I will not say it is as good as the Office but it's pretty close. We went to the park and let them all lose the next day when the weather finally got it together and remembered that it was indeed spring and not winter. Then we put our babies down for a nap and let Cru play with their little girl, who was among the few that can handle and hang with Cru. She was the best and I wish I could take her home with me! While this little ones were napping we drove to Saratoga Springs to see Rachel and Chad and their new house and little newborn again. They have an amazing view of Utah Lake, a pretty cornfield and some mountain up there that I'm sure I should know the name of. Then we ran back to Lindsey's (the home of the millions of children) got ready in lightning speed quickness and drove up to Draper for the wedding of a friend I had back at snow. I hadn't seen him in almost 6 years. One summer he flew to S.C. to visit and then drove back with me and the above mentioned Rachel all the way back to Utah. Of course my children were bad during the wedding and I snapped a picture of Jeff taking the two little ones out just like he does many Sundays in church. Then we drove all the way home after the wedding! We got back at 12:30 a.m. and all crashed in our beds and awoke to a beautiful Spring morning here in St.George. The End!

My family is WHITE TRASH!!!! I guess I just need to accept that right? We don't have any type of patio furniture but Jeff wanted to eat outside with the kids, which I thought was a great idea, no spills, and little cleanup! I'm sure our neighbors just shake their heads, (they're mostly retired folks living around us) when they see us coming or going. Good times!

Spring Swimming for boys, laying out for mom!

The weather is finally nice enough to go to the pool. We have been loving it! We took the little boys for the first time this season (aside from indoor pools). Cru is getting bigger and loves swimming with buddies he meets at the pool. Kayze clings to dads shoulders and McCoy rocks it out in the float. Some of you may remember Cru swimming on Jeff's shoulders about 2 years ago. I got to give it to Jeff he is an amazing teacher for my boys. I'm glad that they are and have learned to swim at a young age. Although Jeff gets irritated and splashes them in the face if they don't do what he tells them too. He turns into a "boy" when he gets in the water with his boys!

My first born turned four on Sunday :( I frown cause it makes me sick. I hate them growing up. Just yesterday I told Jeff once he turns 5 it's over. That's it. He shook his head and laughed. I just feel like time is slipping so fast. No matter how hard I try to hold onto it, it is quicker than me. Then on the flip side I absolutely can't wait for Kayze to be able to communicate something other than tears, and for McCoy to quit sneaking everything and being a little stinker. But still I try to hold onto the moments with them as best I can. Cru got to go to Fiesta Fun (he's never been) he invited one buddy and then had a couple of cousins come. He thoroughly enjoyed it. Trey, Kayze and Cru played a basketball game for 10 minutes without actually putting any tokens in. That's the beauty of pleasing a 4 year old. He rode the bumper boats, and cried the ENTIRE time. He drove the go carts, only to leave his in the middle of the track on his second loop and walk away saying he was finished now. He didn't understand the air hockey game and kept getting mad when someone scored on him, but he ate his pizza and played in the jungle gym like nobody's business. I love him with all of my heart. I thank the Lord everyday for his innocence, (while it lasts that is)for his eyes, his smile, his warmth, humor, and life. He was such a blessing to Jeff and I. He may have come under horrific circumstances but he brought so much love and joy with him. I couldn't imagine life without him and I hope I can be a good mom to him so that he will always want to share that smile, and warmth with me! I love you Cruby doo!

A couple of us had timeshares in Vegas this past weekend. Dani had the presidential suite and it was three bedroom and huge! 8 of us rode in one car all together. We had a blast. We ate at cheese cake factory, boring but always a staple, then we just ate junk food and danced the night away, yes we really did dance the night away! So-long Vegas, see you again next year.

I've always bragged up St.George's parade of homes (however I've never been to any other parade) so that being said who knows if the other ones are better? Well my sister is building a house so we figured this would be a good year for her to finally make it out for the parade. Well they are still magnificant, but they are worse than any year I've ever been! But here are the highlights!

FUN 1st Saturdays of each month!!!!!

The Home Depot does something each Saturday for the community. They provide all of the tools and equipment for everyone to build whatever craft they have for the month. Jeff took Cru last month, and Cru loved it so much that they are going to make it a tradition. They gave him an official apron that they wear. They also give him a pin on his apron signifying which craft they did. I love watching Cru and Jeff bond and watching Jeff learn how to hammer a nail. Hee Hee! :) One day Kayze and McCoy will help just not anytime soon. They need no hammer in their hands anytime soon. They loved the awesome carts they have there too! Yes that is how Jeff leaves the house on Saturdays, I know I'm a lucky girl ;)

And here's why... I watched 10 kids for about 3 hours all by myself. It was like having a daycare in my house. I had 5 kids 18 months and younger, the oldest was five. I was running around the entire time. From tying shoes, wiping snot, fixing owies, handing out gogurts and goldfish etc.. I love it because my kids are having a blast. Not to mention that I get 15 hours of babysitting for doing that. Most of you readers won't know what I'm talking about but since I blog for memories sake I'm posting it anyways.

Getting Out in the Great Out Doors!

Im sure most of you moms can relate to me about winter and kids. Kids are not the only ones penned up inside four walls. Sometimes I realize that I haven't left the house in two days and the sad part is I don't care. I'll have been wearing my sweats, or robe and have my hair up in a messy bun without any makeup. My accomplishments are that I did a load of laundry and maybe put it away, made lunch wich only two of my kids will eat and then clean that up, read a couple of books to the kids, read a sentence in a book I'm trying to read for myself, make dinner and be nice by time Jeff gets home. Okay as I'm writing this Kayze has his foot stuck in a net! Oh and if Jeff and I are really lucky I will have showered! So what am I trying to say? I love mother-hood :) But winter is really difficult for me with three boys 3 and under in a 1450 sq ft house. Things are loud, messy and everywhere all of the time. So Friday Jeff came home a little early and we went out to enjoy the great outdoors in which we are so fortunate to be living. It's breath taking and beautiful here and we rarely take the time to enjoy. We're grateful for it. It wasn't really warm 52 degrees but it was sunny so we got the double stroller, Cru's new lightening McQueen bike, a pair of running shoes and we were out on the trail. Kayze and McCoy started to cry on the way back but I just left Jeff push them as I ran ahead with Cru on his bike. Oh and we couldn't let McCoy out because he sneakily took off his shoes in the car which I didn't realize til we were already on the trail. These are some highlights of our outting

So Rachel came down this weekend and had to do a bridal fair. I came to help her out with some stuff and she used me for a model last minute for one of her dresses. It was a "second wedding" dress. I thought I would be totally confident but nope, I was so awkward. Anyways I had fun.

So I just got back from Fort Lauderdale. I went to stay with Barb, my best friend.. Sorry you couldn't make it Rach! Anyways everytime I go visit that girl I get sick. My kids get sick, all those around me get sick. It is sickening! It is infuriating. The weather was gorgeous and we still had good girl time, but I'm so irritated with the universe for trying to ruin all of my trips. I got to sit next to Robert Horray on the airplane, most people won't know who that is, but he played for the Rockets, Lakers, and Spurs. He is a clutch basketball player and has like 6 championsip rings. I have always hated him cause he has ruined championships for teams I've wanted, but he was really nice and played monopoly the entire time so now I like him.

Christmas trip to South Carolina

As usual our trip was full of fun, food, family and friends. The weather was warm but overcast a lot! Cru loved playing with his boy cousins, but they left for California two days after we arrived. Our boys spent a lot of time with their grandparents and they got to know each other better. They learned that Kayze is emotional, Cru is intense and McCoy seems innocent but really always has an agenda. I got to go play basketball with my old coach's varsity team. A few of the girls I played high school ball with came too. It was good to see them it's been a long time. They couldn't believe that I had three kids, neither can I sometimes. We watched a lot of movies, played a lot of games and ate A LOT of food. I'm so grateful for my parents and this time of year that we get to be together and reflect upon all of our many blessings. It was a wonderful trip!

Cru was looking at some baby pictures of him in our room and asked me "Mom is dat Mistoyd?"

ME- "No, buddy thats you when you were a baby"

CRU-"Oh dat's me when I was Mistoyd"..

Then just today I was looking at my sister's blog and Cru saw her baby boy Colt... Cru just barely asked me "Mom is dat baby Tolt?"

Me "yep"

Cru- "Oh I fink dat's Tolt, when he was baby Jesus"

One morning we were snuggling in bed and Cru looked up at Jeff and said..

"Polta Dots"

We laughed knowing what he meant. So Jeff said, Cru those are called freckles. Cru just said.. "no dey are polta dots"

I was busy making dinner and the kids were all up in my space pulling things down and bugging me like crazy. McCoy took the knob off of our dishwasher (which currently isn't doing it's job) he was pulling dish cloths off the oven handles, Kayze was somewhere in the background busy being a drama queen, Cru got onto the counter and grabbed a knife and asked if it was for him ??? Then he saw my camera sitting out and asked if he coudl take some pictures of me.

ME- "No"

Cru- "But mom I want to take pictures of you because you are funny"

Me- "No"

Cru- "But mom i fink you are butiful"

Lately Cru has been getting his leaders confused.. He saw Obama on the tv screen and said

"Wook mom dats Thomas "ence" Monson"

Of course that was a big mistake, not quite the unpardonable sin, but pretty dang close. I quickly got out a picture of the prophet and said no bud, this is Thomas S Monson. He thought about it for a minute then asked..

"Is he a bad guy?" AGAIN WHAT?? I swear we don't teach him this kind of nonsense.

I don't know how he got the two confused but I had to unconfuse him. I quickly explained a few differences between the two men. Later out of the CLEAR BLUE SKY he asked me "Mom is Obama on the naughty list?" Now how do I answer that?

Advice For the Holidays...

I hate this time of year. Not for its crass commercialism...but because it’s the season when the food police come
out with their annual tips on how to get through the holidays without gaining 10 pounds. You can’t pick up a magazine
without finding a list of holiday do’s and don’ts. Eliminate second helpings, high-calorie sauce and cookies made with butter,
they say. Fill up on vegetable sticks, they say. Good grief...is your favorite childhood memory of Christmas a carrot stick? I
didn’t think so. I have my own list of tips for holiday eating. ?1. About those carrot sticks...avoid them. Anyone who puts
carrots on a holiday buffet table knows nothing of the Christmas spirit. In fact, if you see carrots, leave immediately. Go
next door, where they’re serving rum balls. ?2. Drink as much eggnog as you can. You can’t find it any
other time of year but now. So drink up! Who cares that it has 10,000 calories every sip? ?3. If
something comes with gravy, use it. That’s the whole point of gravy. Gravy does not stand alone. Make a
volcano out of your mashed potatoes. Fill it with gravy. Eat the volcano. ?4. Do not have a snack before
going to a party in an effort to control your eating. The whole point of going to a Christmas party is to eat
other people’s food for free. ?4. Under no circumstances should you exercise between now and New Year’s. You can do
that in January when you have nothing else to do. ?5. If you come across something really good at a buffet table (like
frosted Christmas cookies in the shape and size of Santa), position yourself near them and don’t budge. They’re like a
beautiful pair of shoes - you can’t leave them behind. ?6. Same for pies. Apple, pumpkin, mincemeat. Have a slice of
each. Or, if you don’t like mincemeat, have two apples and one pumpkin. Always have three. ?7. One final tip - if you
don’t feel terrible when you get up from the table, you haven’t been paying attention. Reread tips. Start over - but hurry!

Trip to Missouri and baby Colt

My trip to Missouri was fantastic, couldn't have been better. It was just me and Cru and I was grateful for the time we had to just be together, we bonded and I realized how many funny and cute things he says all day long. For instance on Sunday when he was taking forever to put on his shirt I finally had to get stern with him and say " Cru put on your shirt!" He then casually replied "Okay master"... What the heck?? Where did that come from? Another time we were out to eat and he was picking his nose and I said "Out of your nose" just as I finished the sentence he said "Out of your mouth"......... He is a pill, but was so much fun

He loved getting to play with his girl cousins and they played great together. It was the first time for us to see Colt and he was as precious as he could be. He is a really good baby but he does give his mama some spit-up business. They blessed him on Sunday which was also Jada's 32nd birthday! She might kill me for that. We had a yummy Baskin Robbins birthday cake!

We went to a couple of really cool places. One was a pj party where mrs. Claus and Santa handed out books and treats. It was a long line and I wont say it was worth it, but it was cute. We also went to this
where you got to make your own crafts and it was all free! The kids had a great time and held hands everywhere they went. Jada and I got pedicures and went shopping. My sister had a baby 6 weeks ago and she was trying on size 0 pants... and they were fitting! It was really good for us to get to see each other and it's so fun when there is a new baby in the house. We had the time of our lives and Cru was an angel on the plane. I gave him this candy cane chocolate stick and he got it all over his face, but it kept him occupied for a few minutes. We can't wait to go back.... in the summer that is :)

MOVIE REVIEW

If you havent yet seen New Moon, you've either not read the books, been ridiculously busy, or living under a rock! Out of the books this was my least favorite book, that is until Jeff and I just re-read it together, after our scripture study of course... So I liked the book much better the second time around. I thought the movie was light-years apart from the movie Twilight, which was GAYHOUSE! I don't like the way Edward acts in the movies because it's pretty much nothing like the character in the books. I loved the way this was filmed and I give it 2 thumps way up! Eclipse comes out in June!!! I might have momentarily switched to team Jacob after seeing new moon. I hate his nose and voice, but the other parts weren't too bad ;) Oh and we went at 2:30 a.m. and paid for it for about 5 days!

Okay obsesssed much... YES! I totally am. You may think I'm a complete loser and you may be right, but before you judge me know that I am not a closet vampire nor am I a loser.. I swear, well a little bit, but whatever. I, like a lot of you read the Twilight series. I didn't pick it up until after Breaking Dawn had broke. A friend gave me the book and so I gave it a chance. Of course I was hooked. When I watched the trailer for Twilight I about crapped my pants when I saw "Edward" Boo that was NOT Edward. But A'las I've accepted it and kind of even liked it. Robert is a decent choice. When I first saw "Bella" I was like Sweeet! She's perfect, but then I saw the movie and watched her act. I'm going to give to cross my fingers and hope she's gotten better. Anyways a friend and I in our obsession (you know who you are) re-cast a few people. Then one night after watching Twilight Jeff and I (yes my husband) re-cast the entire movie pretty much. Again I'm not a complete loser, but this was fun and I'd appreciate your participation. Tell me who you think should play the part. If you have another idea please share. I know what I look like, but whatever I'm cool!!!!!!! :)

Kayze's Pumpkin!

I had to blog about this because it was THE CUTEST thing ever~ When you get out to Staley Farm you can take a little hay ride to pick pumpkins. Well Kayze saw us picking some out. He saw Cru holding one and he decided it was his turn. He kept trying to pick up different pumpkins but he could only hold them for a second before he either tripped or dropped it. FINALLY he found one that he just HAD to have!!! It was a dead green one. It was small and perfect for him. He seriously wouldn't put it down. He held it the whole rest of the time we were there. He would trip while walking because he wouldn't put his hands down. He carried in the wagon and in the car! I love it! His personality is so fun!!! ENJOY :)

We had so much fun at Staley Farm. It's so fun for me to see my boys playing with one another out in the great outdoors. We also went up north and visited Rachel and Chad. Cru is on a cowboy kick lately so he was loving the horses. There is something to be said about the great outdoors, however it's cold as crap there, so they can keep it. Cru Sayings

My poor 3 year old has a harry back just like his daddy. Today Jeff was shaving his back outside in the backyard ( I know ) and Cru was watching. He asked if he could shave daddy's back. I said No, he asked if he could shave daddy's legs, I said no. He then asked if he could shave daddy's arms.

Finally I explained to him that boy's don't shave their legs or arms (I realize that many boys here in Utah don't live by that rule) but as for me and my house, my boys WILL NOT have smoother legs than me. After contemplating this for a minute Cru came back to me and said "Mom can I shave my back?"

I just had to laugh. If you have ever seen Cru's back you know that it is pretty dang harry. I told him that I lvoed his harry back! Then we headed off to the pool, I guess it's funny how you don't realize at what point you learned certain common things ie: Cru suddenly gasped for air while sitting in the hot tub. He yelled

"Sumfing is happening to me" He ran to Jeff and sat down holding his hands up with worry in his eyes. "Day my hands are bweaking" He didn't understand the wrinkles in his skin. He was petrified! How had he never noticed this before??? I love these moments.

So obviously this is a lot of fun for them to do. It usually happens around the same time I'm feeding one of them or I'm cleaning another mess. I realize one of them is gone and go looking for them. The first place I ALWAYS check is the bathroom. What's the infatuation? I try to keep all the doors shut and lids closed, but with Cru using the potty we never know if it will be flushed let alone shut. So until I can grow a couple of more arms and eyes I'll probably be dealing with this for a little while longer.

What the crap? So I've been looking for my "SUMMER CLOTHES" since about April. I went through every plastic toat we own. Recently we re-did our garage floor, so we had to move everything out. We put stuff in the attic that we didn't need in our garage I had Jeff pull every toat down so I could search it. I was baffled and confused... WHERE HAD MY CLOTHES GONE? Well I got busy with life and moved on..... until I remembered that I had my summer clothes in a big bag. They were sitting on a rocking chair that's in our garage. Then it occurred to me what had happened. Yep you guessed, JEFF TOOK THEM TO THE D.I.
I was sad :( but then I got over it, realizing I obviously wasn't missing them that bad. I just can't think about the individual things that were in there, because when I do... like right now I get all fussy inside. Some people are getting a lot of good deals on nice clothes. GOOD FOR YOU PEOPLE!!!!

LAKE POWELL

We went to Powell for youth conference and it was so much fun. I love the youth and their energy. Jeff is about as energetic, if not more than them. One of the leaders there was gracious enough to let us use their houseboat and a few others brought their boats. We went on a hike that the pioneers went on when they came through to settle southern Utah. It was THE hardest hike I've ever done besides the Subway. In fact Jeff and I ended up taking one of our young women to the hospital because of asthma attacks and dehydration. On a brighter note we tubed, wakeboarded and cliff jumped, well not all of those did I personally do, but one of them. I got to sleep under the stars next to my best friend! It was so nice that we were able to get away with each other and with the youth without the children!! Thanks to Rachel, Sara, Shannon and Michelle for watching my kids!

Friends of Football Foundation

Our friends have a foundation called Friends of Football it's to help kids who don't have enough money to participate in local sports. The foundation raises money for kids to buy equipment, cover signing up fees etc. There was a golf tournament up in Lehi a couple of weeks ago. Jeff helped drive the people to and from the airport. He called me when he was on his way to tell me that he was picking up Ty Detmer. He was giddy like a school girl, once he picked him up he then proceeded to call my older brother and tell him that somebody wanted to talk to him, then handed the phone to Ty. Boys don't grow up when it comes to their sports heroes! I basically sat in a hotel room for 2 days with three boys couped up! NIGHTMARE! But it was worth it when Barb and I shared two different divine creations from Cold Stone and stayed out way past our curfew just talking.

Im going to post a breif blog about my little boy Kayze. I love him so much and have kept him a little private on here at times. We were blessed to have him come in our home when he was 10 weeks and it has been our joy ever since. We officially adopted him on June 17. It was a miracle in and of itself, and I hope to give a full discription on here when I can make sure I can do it justice, but for now I'm just going to post some pictures of him and the little party we had after we found out he was an official memeber of the family. We love you so much Kayze and literally couldn't imagine life for one day with out you being a part of it.

McCoy's sealing, family in Utah, Grandfather's surprise party

So many things to update its getting ridiculous. We have had some exciting events happen lately. We blessed McCoy and got sealed for time and all eternity in theSt.George temple on June 11th. It was an amazing experience. I was so grateful to have both my mom and dad there with us. My mom was able to hold McCoy on the alter and it was a spiritual experience. We were grateful for our good friends and family who shared in that day with us. Then we went up to Salt Lake for my grandfathers surprise birthday. All of the his children and grandchildren, in laws and cousins etc. were there. It was precious to see his surprised face when he walked into the room. His first statement was "Im not dead". Classic. Then my older brother and his wife Sarah came down and stayed one night with us which was not enough but it was a good time. We swam and played and I miss everybody very much. I love summertime. It welcomes all sorts of visitors.

Cru's graduation and San Diego trip

Cru graduated from pre-school a few weeks ago and it was interesting to say the least, he's the youngest in his class so he's a little less cooperative than the other kids. He didn't sing one of the songs or even seem like he knew what the heck was going on, but hey thats what made us laugh the most. He did enjoy smashing a kids face into a cupcake and liking about ten different cupcakes from the tray. He has the cutest teacher who is one of our good friends and he loves her so much.

*SaN DiEgO* It seems like one vacation after another for us I know and we've loved it, most of the time. This past week we made the drive to San Diego and let me tell ya way more fun and easier than flying 5 hours across the country. We all had a blast. We did Sea World, which I had never been to before and we also did animal kingdom and the Zoo. It was a few too many animals for me but we really did have a great time. We went with the Jensens and Kelsch's and Brown's. The Kelsch's have trade with somebody where they let them stay in their beachouse for a week... We loved it and so did our kiddos! We were so glad they invited us, and guess what this time no one got sick.

The day after we got back from Florida we woke up, got ready and ran out of the house excited for our finalization of adoption at the courthouse. It was short and sweet and we loved that moment. The judge was so nice, he got his camera out and took pictures of everyone and so we did the same. The judge asked me to introduce my family and Cru piped up and said point to Kayze... " dis is my friend tayze, I will protect him he's not your brother" ya he said that to the judge, good thing he couldn't understand a word he said. Cru was all distraught because when we were on our way there we said we're going to adopt McCoy and Cru thought that we were going to the doctor... he also kept saying we are going to the "poor house" when Jeff told him we were going to the courthouse... Gotta love it, and we do!

Florida.. the ups and the downs!

Since our dear friends Barb and John will soon be moving to Maryland we decided we better take advantage of their current residence in Fort Lauderdale area in Florida.So Rachel Chad, Bridger, Me Jeff&our three boys all took the flight non-stop to Fort Lauderdale. The flight was surprisingly pretty good. The house was full of 6 boys 3 and under. It was a lot of noise, laughing, and fighting. We loved it for the most part but it did get get a little hectic at times. Our husbands went spear fishing and had a great time, but the weather was rough and my poor Jeff got sea sick and they had to drop him off on a sand bar in the middle of the ocean. He was throwing up off the side of the boat. :( We went to the Miami metro Zoo and our boys loved it. They had deck built high enough to where you could actually feed the giraffe lettuce. Cru was a little afraid, but so was I. They seemed like dinasours in Jurassic Park when the kids are up in the tree. We got stuck at teh zoo for about an hour under the pavillion during an awesome thunder storm. Well, thats pretty much when things started to go south. The next morning we went to church and Barb's baby was coughing up a lung, she left and took him to the doctor where she was told he had a burst eardrum. Oh and before we left Kayze and Bridger both had ear infections, and Ty had two ear infections. Then Monday we went to the beach, which proved to be the last real day of vacation for all of us. When we got home everyone was sick. I had chills and a fever then Jeff did and Barb felt naseaus. She had to take John, who was starting to feel sick to the airport. When she got back I was already in bed sick and out of it. She threw up, then Jeff's fever and chills started. I'll spare you the rest of the details, but basically Jeff and I got strep throat, John had Bronchitis, and Barb is somewhere in the middle of all of those things, with a sore throat and chills and fever. We made the
longtrek home on the plane and our kids were angels, but the last 5 minutes on the plane was super bumpy and Cru and Bridger were throwing up and bawling. Then we drove the 2 hours back to St.George, with 8 people, tired sick and crammed in a car. We loved our trip and visiting our friends, but hated being sick. Poor Barb we didn't even get to celebrate her birthday :( Besides watching Bride wars that is...... We decided we won't try that again for a very long time, like when our kids are 10. But we will visit her in Maryland, just the girls though;)

I decided about ten days before mother's day that I was going to just show up and surprise my mom for mothers day. I didn't tell anyone but my dad, who helped me with my ticket.. thanks dad. Wait he never looks at my blog, oh well. So the whole family was out to eat and ta da... I waltz in with McCoy and just put him in my mom's arms. It was awesome. She was totally surprised as were my siblings and their spouses. It was a short trip but a good one. Well except for the fact that on the last day my entire family got some nasty bug, that I think we brought with us from Utah.. Seriously I think we did. I only brought McCoy which was awesome, because the flight was super easy and I got to spend a lot of one on one time with him. I missed my husband and other boys on Mother's day but it was more important that I be with my mom this year.

TROUBLE IN THE TUB!

A couple of Sunday's ago we were in a bit of a hurry getting ready for church, and Cru was in the tub and I was trying to get ready as fast as I could, so that I could get the boys ready. Cru kept on calling for me, but I kept on saying, one second and then his voice crept up a notch and had more concern when he called for me again... it hit me, that mom feeling when you realize something is up. Well I enter the bathroom to see my little Kayze in the tub with Cru in his PAJAMAS! Cru was frustrated and concerned about this situation, knowing Kayze wasn't supposed to be in there with him. I had to laugh and grab the camera. Needless to say we were a little late to church that morning!

I don't want to get on a soap box but I feel like if I don't at least say something on my blog about this then it's just another one of those things we roll our eyes at and then move on, but I believe this is bigger than that. I don't agree with gay marriage SHOCK I know, but that doesn't make me homophobic. I am a traditionalist, I'm old school. I think for one the question was a lose lose question and the judge asking it shouldn't have been a judge at all if he has such strong feelings (and lifestyle) about the topic. If the first ammendment in the constitution is freedom of speech then why is it that she is so harshly ridiculed, judged and condemned for speaking freely of a question that was asked of her? I just don't understand that double standard. I think I'm getting it though, the traditional type people usually sit back and let the ridicule happen because we think its not the sort of thing we'd like to get caught up in, leaving the person who is standing up for what we believe in high and dry. She wasn't anti-gay, she was not offensive, she did not say anything but what she believes marriage is. THE CONSTITUTION says thats what it is its not like she came out with some weird defenition of marriage or something. And by the way "our beloved" president has given the exact same answer when asked about that question, and if anyone called him a "dumb bastard" I think there would be some more uproar... In the end good will be called evil and evil will be called good. Sign of the times? I don't know but I believe it's time we all stand a little taller and not be afraid of the backlash.

Cru turns 3

So first of all Im going to say that I made his birthday cake, I did have some help but Im very proud. I know there are people out there who's cakes are spectacular but Im happy with my creation, as humble as it is. Cru turned three March 21st and we just did a very informal get together at the park. His favorite gift (even though I said no gifts) was a spiderman kite. Who knew that kids still liked such simple things? We love our little man and can't believe we've had three years now with him. He has been such a blessing to our family.

SPRING BREAK!!!!!

So since none of us have kids old enough to go to school we really didn't celebrate spring break by going out of town or doing anything out of the ordinary at all, but Chad Smith is still in school and so he and Rachel decided to have a cook out and pool party at the college pool. It was a lot of fun!

Our best friends came back to town and its always so much fun. The guys golf, us girls watch the kids... wait that doesn't sound fun? No we have fun just being together. Between the three of us there are 6 boys and its a crazy! We did manage to find time for ice cream and it was good. Did you know cold stone does cupcakes now? Pretty much the best invention ever ice cream cupcakes! Anyways one of the nights we went to cold stone, then nielsons, then back to cold stone, but the 2nd time we went they were closed so Rachel knocked on the door but they wouldn't budge! We also went to pirate island pizza and the boys and thier dads loved it! We are sad to see them go but are grateful for the time we get to spend with them.

Yogurt disaster

So these pictures are so funny to me because us moms were in the kitchen trying to get a dinner ready and we hear a scream followed by terror and bawling. We of course all jump and run to the situation where we find Bridger innocently enough eating a go-gurt, but what seemed to be the problem was Bridger was sucking on the wrong side. He had been squeezing it and shaking it trying to figure out how to get it out, not realizing (even if he had c'mon he's 1 1/2 he wouldn't have cared) that his yougurt was splattering all over the floor and walls and worst of all over Ty's face! You would have thought an animal was biting off his toes the way he wailed when hit with the dairy product! Once we cleaned it off his fear subsided and all was well!

VEGAS

So our trip to Vegas wasn't anything spectacular we didn't go to any shows or do any major shopping or gamble, but we did..... sleep in! Yes it was so nice to get away for 2 nights and just sleep in and only think about ourselves for a couple of days. Thanks to a few really great people watching our kids we were able to go down with a few couples in our ward and just play games eat out and yes sleep in! The craziest thing we did was bowl at 2 a.m. yep and let me tell ya some crazy things start happening when people are up way past thier bed times!!!!!

IS ANYONE ELSE SICK OF BLOGGING?

Okay I was like ultra-obsessed with blogging for about 5-6 months. It was pretty much constant. I was either posting, commenting, or stalking... whatever we all do it! So I am realizing that I never really post or look at other people's or ever stalk anymore. What is it? Is it that I went private? Possibly because its much less exciting cause you get the same 3 people commenting on your pictures and its all of your best friends. Is it that I have three kids now and its just not worth it or a priority? Probably it seems like a silly thing to spend my time on however its good for journaling. But I do keep seperate journals for my kids so thats not really the reason I started to blog. Or is it because I discovered facebook? Maybe its the economy....
Whatever the reason my zest for blogging is zapped! I still get on occasion to see whats going on with the same people I see all the time, but for the most part I just forget about it. Is it just me? Does anybody else feel this way?
If I get no comments on this blog its probably because of the very same reasons I just mentioned, being private, kids and the economy. It can't possibly be because Im not cool :) Thats my piece I'd love some feedback and I'll probably check back in a couple of weeks to see if there is any!
